Sinead O'Connor's cause of death released by coroner

A coroner has confirmed the cause of death of famous singer Sinead O'Connor, who died in July last year.

Sinead O'Connor was found unconscious at a home in south-east London and

pronounced dead at the scene, police confirmed last July.

The Irish star's death at the age of 56 has not been treated as suspicious.

In a new statement, Southwark Coroners Court told MailOnline:

"This is to confirm that Ms O'Connor died from natural causes.

The coroner has therefore closed his involvement in her death."
